Drip campaigns

Past clients forget you between deals — the agent they remember is the one who kept showing up. Campaigns send a timed sequence of emails and texts to your leads and clients, drafted by AI in your voice, reviewed and approved by you, and stopped automatically the moment a real conversation starts.

What campaigns do

A campaign is a sequence of timed steps — email or text — that each enrolled person receives on a schedule: day 0, day 6, day 12, and so on from the day they're enrolled. You'll find them under Campaigns in your sidebar. Typical uses: a welcome series for new leads, a stay-in-touch rhythm for past clients, or a re-engagement nudge for people who've gone quiet.

Build a sequence

  1. Open Campaigns and create one with a clear name.
  2. Add steps: pick the day offset (days after enrollment), write a subject and body. Use {{first_name}}, {{agent_name}}, and {{personal_note}} to personalize — the tap-to-insert chips put them at your cursor.
  3. Enroll leads or clients (see below), then Activate.

Nothing sends while a campaign is a draft. Once active, steps go out on the hourly run — each person gets each step exactly once, on their own schedule.

Let AI draft it

On a draft campaign you'll see Generate steps with AI. Describe the goal ("stay top of mind with past clients") and who it's for, pick how many steps, and the AI writes the whole sequence — subjects, bodies, and spacing. The drafts land in your editor like any hand-written step: read them, edit them, delete what you don't like. The campaign still won't send until you activate it.

Personal notes — the part that doesn't read like a blast

The {{personal_note}} placeholder splices a per-recipient paragraph into a shared template — the difference between "Dear valued client" and an email that sounds like you actually wrote it to them. Open any enrolled client in the recipients list and choose Draft with AI from contact history: the AI reads that contact's timeline (your notes, calls, texts, imported history) and drafts a short, specific note. Review it, edit it, and accept it — a draft is never used until you do.

Text (SMS) steps

A step's Channel can be Text (SMS) instead of email — a "day 12: quick text" lands differently than a fourth email. Texts go out through your Manaky texting number with all the same protections as one-to-one texting: STOP is honored permanently, sends hold outside 8am–9pm, and your number's daily cap applies. A contact with no phone number simply skips the text step and continues with the emails.

Send windows & timing

By default, steps send whenever the hourly run fires — including overnight. Set a send window (in the Auto-enroll card, e.g. 8:00–18:00 Pacific) and anything due outside those hours waits for the next in-window run instead. Nobody gets your "just checking in" at 3am.

Preview, test & warnings

  • Preview — every step shows exactly what a recipient receives, unsubscribe footer included, rendered with a real enrolled person's name and note.
  • Send test to me — fires the rendered step to your own inbox with a [Test] prefix, so you can see it in a real mail client before anyone else does.
  • Content warnings — an all-caps subject, "ACT NOW" phrasing, too many links or exclamation marks get flagged under the step before they hurt your deliverability. They're advisories, not blocks — you decide.

Enrolling people

Enroll leads and clients by hand from the pickers on the campaign page, or set auto-enroll rules so the campaign tops itself up: every new lead in a chosen stage, or every client in a lifecycle (prospects, active, past), joins automatically while the campaign is active. Each person starts at day 0 of their own clock — enrolling late never means missing steps.

When someone replies

A reply is the goal, and the platform treats it that way: the sequence for that person stops immediately, their reply lands in their contact timeline, and it's your conversation now. Delivery problems take care of themselves too — a hard bounce or spam complaint unsubscribes that address everywhere, automatically.

Compliance, handled

You stay compliant without doing the homework:

  • CAN-SPAM — every campaign email carries your identity, a postal address, and a working one-click unsubscribe (both the footer link and the header mail apps use).
  • Unsubscribes are forever — an opt-out is enforced at the sending layer itself; no campaign, ever, can email that address again unless the person opts back in.
  • TCPA for texts — quiet hours, STOP handling, carrier registration, and daily caps all apply to SMS steps exactly as they do to one-to-one texting.
  • Volume pacing — daily sending is capped and spread so your address builds a good reputation instead of tripping spam filters.
